Living in the Lake District

Living in the Lake District is fantastic, but it has to be readily acknowledge, that to get Lakes, you have to have rain. Now I know, we have all had rain recently, and aren’t we getting down about it. I haven’t had a dry coat in weeks, I live in my waterproof trousers (not a good look), and spend my day watching the weather aka rain.

The only animals who are enjoying this are my ducks.

But we need to be positive; at 5 o’clock tonight, it was still light outside (but raining).  The roads are all closed again, and my aim to spend less on shopping is working a treat… I cannot get to the shops if I want to.

So I had a look through my photographs of last year and found this one, it is from the top of the field looking east over towards the Howgills at sunrise.  It was taken last September.   It gives promise of the good times, and hopefully good weather to come.
