Yum!! I have seen raspberry and white chocolate scones, but I have lots of wild strawberries so thought I would use them instead, and then added a few extra larger strawberries.
I am making afternoon tea, so I used the smallest cutter I had for small scones to be added to cake stand.
Ingredients 250g self raising flour 50g caster sugar 50g unsalted cold butter 1 egg 100ml milk pinch of salt 60g strawberries (or raspberries) 60g white chocolate broken into small pieces
Method Set oven 220oC Sift flour, salt, sugar into a bowl and add the butter mix together with your fingers to make a breadcrumb consistency beat the egg and milk together add the egg mixture to the flour mixture Add the strawberries and chocolate very gently kneed together to make a dough roll out to around 3cm thick with a cutter make circles of the size of scones you want place on a baking sheet in the oven for 12 minutes
When slightly cooled I pipes some melted white chocolate over the top.
