With torches…. What fun.
I did this a couple of years ago. It is a charity event. You meet in the middle of Keswick with warm cloths, torch and food. Then walk around the top of Derwent Water and to the west side, then up Cat Bells.
It has recently been voted best family walk, I first walked it with my parents when I was 4. It nearly killed me. It is really steep, but not too far and once up it is dramatic.
I went with Jane and Helen. Jane and I had done it a couple of years ago when it was first held.
We were blessed with great weather, the sun shone and until it went dark it was warm, as soon as the sun dipped behind the mountains, it was woolly hat weather.
This year we were give coloured slides to turn the mountain multi-coloured.

It is really interesting. Is it every year? and when?
